Heading home after a long day out of town at an engagement shoot, I rounded the corner at Union Station to see a very sexy moon radiating from behind the clouds.
I was really piled on with gear and tired so I leaned on a fence to help steady me as I held my breath and waited. Thankfully after only a few minutes I heard someone running behind me. As luck would have it a crowd had just passed so the foreground was clear.
It was what I had been hoping for, the shot was close at hand! A runner was perfect as I was looking to catch motion, and I knew I wanted to use the light from the hot dog stand to separate my subject but was nervous that the person would be too tall.
When a shorter adolescent flew into my viewfinder I knew I had hit the jackpot!
